MINNEAPOLIS: Coming to a Close

Hello everyone,

This is Kevin Michel here speaking to you all on the last day of work for the week. Tonight for team time, we spent time in reflection on the lessons we learned this week. Students spoke of the fresh perspective gained on serving others, being bold, and appreciating the blessings we have been given in order to bless others.
A clear highlight for me was the time we spent at Marie Sandvik (Homeless Shelter). It was a blessing to here the stories of the staff that worked there. We were first introduced to the shelter by a women named Mary Beth, who spoke to us about the realities of what goes on in downtown Minneapolis, and shared her testimony of the power of God in response to the prayers of his people. It was a common theme, when we learned about the transformation that has occurred on Franklin street, with a night club turning into an art center after two years of faithful prayer.

As we transition back to the summer schedule it is clear that God has moved in wonderful ways and that our hearts have grown more sensitive to Gods kingdom purposes. There is much to be thankful for.

-Kevin Michel
