Hello Parents & others,
We had a wonderful day today. For one thing, it wasn't hot AT ALL! This is a HUGE factor when you are outside from 10-5:00 PM in the sun doing Vacation Bible School at a park. Tuesday was a very challenging day because of the conditions. But, even though it was hot...your kids hardly mentioned it! I am so proud of the junior high students and leaders that we have on this trip. I spend my day driving a cargo van filled with water, cups, chairs, basketballs, Hula Hoops to replenish their supplies throughout the day (I am also their trip back to New Hope if they have to use the restroom...I switch vans for those trips). I get to spend time at each site, and they are all doing awesome. Monday we had about 40 neighborhood kids at the four sites. Tuesday we had about 100! Today, because of the rain, there was a decrease. Tomorrow (Thursday) is going to be another awesome day. I know of at least 4 kids that accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. We are experiencing some incredible ministry this week.
Last night (before the storm...) we went down to Millennium Park and enjoyed the splash pad. It was a great time to let our hair down and just enjoy one another. You can see a video of our time together on the link below.

Thank you for your prayers, and thank you to the parents that came tonight and hung out during the youth rally with the New Hope teens.
Keep praying for more students to accept Jesus, and for our continued safety.
In Him,
Scott Murray
