GENOA:: "A'Salam" & Sunburns

After the mishap with our luggage and the flights our prayers were answered and we received our luggage Monday night. Praise God!  We went through a day of distribution training in Marseilles on Tuesday and traveled to Genoa that night.  Waking up bright and early at 4:20am Wednesday morning we headed out to the port to distribute the "Injeel" (New Testament).  We were out till 8pm in two hour shifts distributing to North Africans headed for the ferry- poor Dave was burnt to a crisp!  It was very different from expectations, but all in all we learned a lot about how much we need God to move and work through us.  God is in complete control.  He's teaching us to be dependent upon Him and we are learning how crucial prayer is.  By the end of the day we had distributed a good number of "gifts" to the people at the docks.  It was not easy and there were some obstacles but God remained faithful and worked through it all.  After the long day we got to enjoy authentic Italian pizza and gelato.  Thursday we once again woke up early and again distributed at the docks. We are looking forward to what God has planned for us in Turino tomorrow, Friday, where we are headed tomorrow to do urban distribution.  Pray that we will have good opportunities to share the gospel and also clear communication with people.  We are already seeing that God is truly moving here in Genoa, Italy.  Please keep on praying, your prayers are powerful and effective and are being answered!

An encouraging passage we have read lately is 2 Timothy 1:6-14.

  1. Thanks for the update, girls. Of course we should have known we couldn't count on Paul and Brad for any helpful info on how y'all are doing. We're continuing to pray for your health and safety and that God would use you to His glory.

  2. Congratulations for all you've accomplished so far! It's great to hear that all the details of your trip are now going well, and that people are accepting the packets. Prayer is so key. Be courageous! He will work through you.
