Today we had the opportunity to visit a muslim mosque. It was quite a learning experience because we felt that the muslim "tour guide" was part Muslim resource, part politician. It seemed as if he was answering (or half answering) the questions that we had in a way that made us happy. They really preached the similarities and didn't spend a lot of time talking about the differences between Christianity & Islam. I think that we are all learning not only about the Muslim faith, but growing stronger in our own faith as well as a result of our debriefing conversations.
Lastly, we had the opportunity to have some middle eastern quisine. Men and women had to eat separately, which was weird, and we were supposed to use our hands off a community plate, but the food was pretty yummy.
Please pray that we will continue to learn a lot and have opportunities to share what we learn with Muslims that we interact with.
Brad
