DEARBORN- the love of God

Hello friends family and others!
Greings from dearborn michigan. As we continue our time here in Michigan God is constantly revealing himself to the Muslim community and to our team. Yesterday we began our day with training. We talked about the differences between Christianity and Islam. We focused on the truth of the bible. If you did not know already muslims believe that God sent the Torah and the bible but became corrupted. We learned how to defend the truth of the bible by asking questions such as who corrupted the bible why they did it where they did it and if it was before or after Muhammad. We learned to ask why such a powerful God could allow sinful weak people to change his words. For me personally it strenghtend my faith and it helped us lead conversations to our Iranian waiter. Later that evening I had the opportunity to teach English to a Muslim man Ahmed he was deteremine d to learn English. I was very nervous because usually men and women do not intermix. At first I let my fear or judgement and sterotyping getting in the way of sharing my life with this man. I assumed he was another stubborn Muslim man who treated women as objects. Instead God rocked my world and Ahmed shared the love he had for his wife and 50 day old son he explained that he wanted to respect and honor his family. I almostcried I felt Gods precense as I was convicted of juding this man in fear of him juding me. This is one of many ways God is moving and radically changing lives in dearborn.
