Yesterday's rain gave us a chance to bless YWAM with painting the third floor and doing some cleaning around the building. Eventually the weather cleared up and we were able to go out and do an ethnic survey around the community, which gave us a chance to realize how diverse the area really is. This project gave us opportunities to engage in conversations with the people we are hoping to reach. It's simply awesome to stop and realize how every single person has a story full of hurt or challenge, and being able to talk to them is an amazing thing to do. God has opened our eyes to the outreach opportunities we have in our backyard and it shows us that we don't have to go halfway around the world to be able touch the lives of people in desperate need of love that only Jesus Christ can give as our savior. Being able to serve Christ in our own city has so far been an amazing experience.
